Bert Gordijn is a Full Professor of Ethics and Director of the Institute of Ethics at Dublin City University in Ireland. His academic career commenced with studies in philosophy and history at the universities of Utrecht, Strasbourg and Freiburg im Breisgau. He was awarded his doctorate in philosophy from the University of Freiburg in 1995. His initial academic appointment was at Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands (1996-2008) where he also augmented his academic credentials with a further PhD in Bioethics (2003). Subsequently, he assumed the position of Professor of Ethics at Dublin City University (2008-present). Professor Gordijn has held visiting professor positions at several universities and research centres worldwide, including Lancaster University in the UK, Georgetown University in the US, and several others in Singapore, Switzerland, India and New Zealand. In addition to these roles, he has contributed to various organisations through advisory board and expert committee involvement, including the European Chemical Industry Council, the European Patent Organisation, and UNESCO. Professor Gordijn is currently serving as co-editor-in-chief of two book series published by Springer Nature: 'The International Library of Ethics, Law and Technology' and 'Advances in Global Bioethics', as well as the peer-reviewed journal 'Medicine, Health Care and Philosophy'. He also serves as Secretary of the European Society for Philosophy of Medicine and Healthcare (ESPMH) and has previously held the position of President of the International Association of Education in Ethics (IAEE).

Renzo Pegoraro, MD, STL Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Padua. He was ordained priest for the Diocese of Padua in 1989 He studied Philosophy and Theology in Padua and Rome, graduating with the License in Moral Theology and Advanced Course Diploma in Bioethics. In 1993 became Professor of Bioethics at the Faculty of Theology of Northern Italy and General Secretary of the “Fondazione Lanza” (Center of Advaneed Studies in Ethics, Bioethics and Environmental Ethics) Since 1998 he is Member of the European Society of Philosophy of Medicine and Health Care (ESPMH) and served as President in 2005-2007. Since 2003 he is Professor of Nursing Ethics at Children Hospital “Bambino Gesù”, Rome. He was Member of the Board of the European Association of Centres of Medical Ethics (EACME), and served as President between 2010-2013. He is Member of the International Association for Education in Ethics (IAEE). Since 2011 he is Chancellor of the Pontifical Academy for Life in Rome.

Henk ten Have studied medicine and philosophy and worked in the Universities of Maastricht and Nijmegen in the Netherlands, as Director of the Division of Ethics of Science and Technology of UNESCO in Paris, France, and as Professor of Healthcare Ethics in the Center for Healthcare Ethics at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, USA. Since 2021 he is Research Professor at the Faculty of Bioethics, Anahuac University Mexico. His latest books are Bioethics, Healthcare and the Soul (2022), Bizarre bioethics – ghosts, monsters and pilgrims (2022), The Covid-19 pandemic and global bioethics (2022). His most recent publication is Color, Healthcare, and Bioethics (2025).

Martha Wilcoxson is a professor of Ethics at the Hasan School of Business, Colorado State University Pueblo. Her career began in the financial industry as a Certified Financial Planner ® (CFP®). During that time, she served as industry arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). It was this experience that inspired her to complete the Masters of Negotiated Dispute Resolution from Creighton School of Law and Education Doctorate from Creighton University (Omaha, Nebraska). Her belief is that quality ethics education in our universities is essential in developing ethical global business leaders. Her research focus is ethical decision-making processes in global business. As a board member of the National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM), she co-chairs the Impact and Values Committee which is tasked with building a research based virtual library for mediation practitioner support. She is a 2024 recipient of the College of Professional Studies and Continuing Education Alumni Merit Award and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council.

Sundar Sarukkai works primarily in the philosophy of the natural and social sciences. He has held positions of professor of philosophy at the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Founder-Director of the Manipal Centre for Philosophy and Humanities, and Visiting Faculty at the Centre for Society and Policy, Indian Institute of Science. He is the founder of Barefoot Philosophers, an initiative to take philosophy to children and the public. He is the author of the following books: Translating the World: Science and Language; Philosophy of Symmetry; Indian Philosophy and Philosophy of Science; What is Science?; JRD Tata and the Ethics of Philanthropy. He has co-authored 2 books with Gopal Guru: The Cracked Mirror: An Indian Debate on Experience and Theory and Experience, Caste and the Everyday Social. His book for children titled Philosophy for Children: Thinking, Reading, Writing has been translated into Tamil, Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam and Marathi. His recent books include The Social Life of Democracy, and a novel about learning and language titled Following a Prayer. His forthcoming books include a novel Water Days, and a book on philosophy titled Another Story of Philosophy. He is the Series Editor of Routledge's Science and Technology Studies, as well as the Co-Chief Editor of the Springer Handbook of Logical Thought in India.

Prof. Sudhir Krishnaswamy is the Vice-Chancellor of NLSIU and an internationally recognized constitutional law scholar. He completed his BA LLB from NLSIU and holds a D.Phil from Oxford University. He has previously taught at NLSIU, the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, and Azim Premji University.

He is the co-founder of the Centre for Law and Policy Research (CLPR) and has served on several government committees. His book Democracy and Constitutionalism in India is widely cited in the field. Prof. Krishnaswamy was appointed to the Prime Minister’s Committee on Infrastructure and is currently a member of Facebook’s Global Oversight Board.

Pallavi Varma Patil Pallavi is a co-founder of Living Utopias a community-based educational initiative focused on alternatives to development, and led 'The Ragi Project'- (2017–2019), an urban school farming initiative in Bangalore. Her work is driven by her interest in transitioning to just, sustainable futures transcending disciplinary and cultural boundaries, especially in the context of climate change. She explores the imagination of alternative futures through a Gandhi–Tagore framework of a "Good Society" through research, teaching and practice.

Pallavi was a faculty at Azim Premji University (APU) Bangalore, where she enjoyed teaching Gandhian ideas in its School of Education and the School of Development for nearly a decade (2012–2023). She is the co-author of a Gandhi book for young adults in English and more recently of a children’s book on agrobiodiversity in Spanish. She has also written on the theme of alternatives, Good Society, Gandhi, and Tagore in several academic and popular publications.

At present at ATREE , she leads a national network of school level environment educators called S.N.A.I.L (The School of Nature, Action, Inquiry and Learning) that impacts both curricula and pedagogy of place- based, activity-led environment education in India.

T.R. Raghunandan is Advisor to the Accountability initiative and our consultant in decentralization, anti-corruption and heritage conservation. Formerly in the Indian Administrative Service, he served as Joint Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Panchayati Raj (Rural local governments, 2004-2009) and as Secretary Rural Development and Panchayat Raj, Karnataka State (2001-2004).

His current assignments include advisor to Login Asia, a network of practitioners in Decentralisation from 11 countries in South, Central and South-East Asia. This project is supported by the Swiss Cooperation Office, Embassy of Switzerland. He is also a member of the Local Bodies Commission, Kerala State and a member of the Working Group on Decentralisation, West Bengal Government. Prof. Nigam Nuggehalli is the Registrar, National Law School of India University, Bangalore.

Prof. Nuggehalli was previously a Dean, School of Law at BML Munjal University, Gurugram. He has also taught as an Associate Professor in the School of Policy and Governance at Azim Premji University, during which time he also headed the university’s newly founded LL.M programme.

Professor Nuggehalli holds a DPhil from the University of Oxford Faculty of Law, an LLM in Taxation from New York University and a BA., LLB (Hons.) from the National Law School of India University

Before moving to India, Professor Nuggehalli was a Principal Lecturer teaching tax law and commercial law at BPP Law School, London. He led a team of academics in delivering undergraduate programmes in jurisprudence and postgraduate programmes in commercial law and international tax law. Before joining academia, he worked as a tax lawyer in New York and is a member of the New York Bar and the India Bar (Karnataka).

As a lawyer and as a law academic, Professor Nuggehalli has practiced and taught a variety of legal subjects (contracts, commercial law, corporate law, taxation) with reference to the legal regimes in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. He has extensive research and publication experience in legal issues relating to international taxation, commercial law, and statutory interpretation. He is the author of a leading text on Indian international taxation. He is also a member on two government committees, on the General Anti-Avoidance Rules (GAAR) and Foreign Portfolio Investment (FPI) respectively.

Smt Uma Mahadevan is a 1992 batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre who is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner, Govt of Karnataka. She is also handling the departments of Panchayat Raj and Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, Govt of Karnataka.

Dr. David Cerdio-Domínguez is a medical surgeon graduated from Universidad Anáhuac México. He holds a master's degree in management and administration of health institutions with a specialization in healthcare management, a master's degree in pain management sciences with a diploma in palliative care, and a doctorate in applied bioethics focused on pain management and palliative care. Currently, Dr. Cerdio is pursuing his medical specialization studies in anesthesiology.
